St. Vincent de Paul's Cars for a Cause Program accepts cars, trucks, motorcycles, RV's, boats and more. All proceeds from the sale of vehicles and recycled materials benefit St. Vinnie's charitable programs, including emergency assistance and shelter, and affordable housing. The Cottage Grove Hospital Auxiliary seeks community volunteers to staff the front desk and greet visitors, to help raise money to purchase much needed medical equipment for the hospital and clinic, and to participate in monthly social gatherings.
A free community meal is served on Sundays from 5-6 p.m. at the Cottage Grove Community Center at 700 E. Gibbs Ave. The meal is sponsored by service organizations and many caring area residents.
